MOUNTAIN CREEK LAKE

Mountain Creek Lake is located near the border of Dallas and Grand Prairie. Its shoreline presents a wonderful opportunity for a hike and bike trail. The area also allows for many scenic views due to its varied topography. This view from the Capella Park residential development is typical of the area.

Shore Line

This city owned land hugs the shoreline of the lake as well as an area across from Mountain Creek Parkway. This area would be ideal for park development as well as an entry point to the hike and bike trail.

Hill Country

The area south of of I-20 going across Camp Wisdom heading south towards Cedar Hill would be perfect for extreme mountain biking. The hilly turain would present a challenge for serious cyclists.

Straightaway

This area shows the Oncor right of way backing into I-20. This area could be used for a long distance hike and bike trail.

Mountain Creek Parkway

The background of the proposed trail is composed, in part, of the hills to the east.

Beautifully landscaped with a very short bike trail, this section could be extended from Capella Park towards Montain Creek Lake.
